The Cybex companies have undertaken over 9,000 miles of close interval potential surveys varying from "on" surveys on Magnesium anode protected pipelines to interrupted and depolarized surveys on both bare and coated rectifier protected pipelines. Interrupted surveys requiring GPS time synchronization are undertaken using the ICISS datalogger.

Additional services such as sub-meter GPS, side drain and DCVG surveys are also provided to meet client specifications.

Working with professional dive and marine personnel in North and South America, the Cybex companies have undertaken cross-river potential surveys, depth of cover surveys, bathymetry and underwater video on many pipeline river crossings.

These include the Mississippi River, the international border rivers such as the St. Clair, St. Lawrence and St. Mary's and the Magdalena River, the largest river in Colombia.

   

Cybex personnel are very experienced in testing and evaluating the interference effects from foreign CP systems, transit systems and other sources of stray current.

With possible interference from foreign CP systems, the effects on the structure polarization level are often used in the evaluation. This method removes the voltage gradient effects which often mask the true pipe to soil potentials.

The evaluation of the effects of transit systems and other stray current sources has been undertaken on many structures in North America.

   

The Cybex companies have no involvement in CP materials supply and installation. Consequently, we can provide independent evaluations and audits of existing CP systems. Facilities subject to independent audits may be Pipelines, Chemical Plants, Tank Farms, Docks, Industrial Facilities and Concrete structures.

Cathodic protection system audits and evaluations are carried out in both North and South America.

   

The Cybex companies can provide an in-depth expertise in the areas of CP Installation Supervision and independent CP system Commissioning. Personnel have many years of experience on a wide variety of structures and different types of CP systems.

Pipelines, Water Storage Tanks, Underground Tank Farms, Docks, Power Plant Condensers, and Petroleum Facilities are some of the structures which can benefit from independent installation supervision and commissioning of the CP systems.

The Cybex companies also undertake Special Projects, which may include: depolarization studies, specifications for Close Interval Surveys, CP system designs, CP material specifications and recommendations for remedial actions in the case of CP deficiencies.
